During my semester abroad in Taiwan I designed a hoodie that captures the spirit of our experiences there. The backprint features a series of illustrations inspired by moments, people, and places that made the trip unforgettable. Each motif was suggested by friends and then brought to life through my illustrations.

The designs include a rabbit, a symbol of luck and cleverness in Taiwanese culture, and a tiger, inspired by temple art and local traditions. A baozi, the beloved steamed dumpling, represents everyday joys, while Shinchan, my favorite cartoon character, adds a playful touch. Cats appear as a nod to the many we encountered on our travels, and a lantern reflects the countless glowing lights that color Taiwan’s streets. Finally, the bus symbolizes our daily journeys to the university, a small „adventure“ every time.

The hoodie turns personal memories into a wearable narrative, blending humor, culture, and nostalgia. It is a celebration of the little things that made life in Taiwan unique and unforgettable.
