CONTEXT
CLIMATE CHANGE

One Point Five began as an experiment with words and images. Random sentences were collected, illustrated, reinterpreted and drawn again, creating a chain of unexpected fragments that slowly grew into a collection.

To bring them together, I turned used rhyme. Sound became the bridge between fragments, weaving the illustrations into a narrative about humanity facing the climate crisis. What started as random associations evolved into a poem, and later into a short film where the drawings came to life through animation, voice, and sound.

The shortfilm follows humanity as the protagonist, wandering through colorful scenarios. The story itself reflects the urgency of climate change and the contradictions of human behavior.

And now go buy an electric car.

NONSENS NARRATIVES

This project is part of my Master’s thesis, which explores the theme of nonsense narratives. Alongside it, the thesis includes several other creative experiments, each investigating how humor, nonsense and playful language can create new narratives. The projects include Current Excavations, a book of exploratory illustrations; One Point Five, a short film born from random words and images; Rhetorik am Stuhl, a pocket book that visualizes rhetorical devices through chairs and Tomatosoup, a comic about rivalry. Together, these works form a comprehensive exploration of visual and linguistic nonsense, combining illustration, animation, comics, design, and playful experimentation.
